On behalf of Micheál, his family and all of the volunteers,
we would like to sincerely thank everyone for their generosity.
The outpouring of support for Micheál has been overwhelming.
Thank you to every business and individual that donated their
time, goods and/or talents to make the benefit and all
the previous events successful.  Thanks to the newspapers,
as well as the radio stations for the airtime promoting
this event.  As much as we would like to thank every individual and
business that has supported this worthy cause, they are
too numerous to mention.  We appreciate everyone’s efforts.

After a short stay at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago,
we are happy to report that Micheál has returned to his home!

We ask that you continue to support
Micheál by keeping him in your prayers.

With sincere thanks and gratitude,

Micheál Molloy Benefit Trust

A benefit is being held for Micheál Molloy,
a native of Tourmakeady, Co. Mayo.
Micheál is the son of the late Sean Molloy, Tourmakeady,
and Sadie, nee Sharkey, native of Falcarragh, Co. Donegal.

Micheál was an active member of the GAA and played
football for Tourmakeady, St. Jarlath’s College in Tuam,
Co. Galway and captained the Mayo minor team in 1983.

When Micheál was in his twenties, he began to suffer from
a severe form of arthritis known as Ankylosing Spondylitis.
This condition caused him to have restricted movement and severe pain.
This eventually led to him having both hips replaced.

Unfortunately, in September 2005, at the age of 40,
Micheál had an accidental fall at his home.
He sustained a C-5 spinal cord injury.
This injury has resulted in Micheál having quadriplegia and is paralyzed.
Since the accident he has experienced many complications
and remains hospitalized.  With this in mind, friends have gotten
together to organize a benefit to help defray
Micheál's current and life-long expenses.

The benefit will be held at
The Irish American Heritage Center,
4626 North Knox Avenue, Chicago
on Saturday, April 21, 2007,
from 4 pm to midnight.

Donations are voluntary at the door.
Food, music and entertainment
will be provided, as well as a silent auction.
There will be a cash bar.

The draw for the $100 raffle will take place during the benefit.

Donations can be mailed to:
State Bank of Countryside

Countryside, Illinois 60515
